What are we doing here?
I spent all of last weekend in the hiding from the sun in a basement, surrounded by quiet, solitary creatures who daily open fresh wounds and pour out their heart’s blood in the hope of eternal glory. No, it wasn’t the annual conference of the Masochistic Vampires Association (which was happening in the hotel across the road), but the London Festival of Writing. Among all the advice on how to stand out to agents, build a loyal following of readers and improve your craft, beginning a Substack seemed like the easiest and most logical next step. So here we are. I’ve imported you lovely subscribers from Kit, and, hopefully, I didn’t lose any of you along the way.*
Who are all these people?
With any luck (and some effort from me), you’ll be joined by a host of new subscribers who share your interest in all things ghoulish and creative. Say hello. Most of them won’t bite.
What’s around the corner?
Posts on horror news, reviews and my own dark and twisting writing journey once a month (twice this month because I’m WELCOMING you, goddammit). Oh, and free, exclusive stories coming soon!
What in god’s name is this?
I cannot repeat His name.

*If any of you are lost, scream until your throat tastes of rust. Someone may hear this as a crackle on the phone line and send help.
Welcome to horrorstack, fellow horror writer! I look forward to reading your work 💀 What kind of horror do you write?
I am mostly a fantasy/action/romance writer myself, but I love reading thrillers, mysteries, and paranormal. I look forward to your future posts and all the ghoulish delights you write up.
